matéman: cebada 2018-2020 (CC 2022 Juanchila, Juan Manuel Moreno)
mateman’s first book has arrived! Fresh off the press and with the ink still drying… Ok, not that much.
The book, which includes a collection of 16+2 drawings, is the result of a personal project that I started back in autumn 2018. matéman, written in lowercase and with an accent, on purpose, or not, is a character that we never see drinking mate, but rather always about to drink it or once he has already drunk it, in absurd or extra ordinary situations.
For this first edition, 100 copies have been published in trilingual format (Spanish, French and English) under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 international license. The graphic design, printing, and craft binding of the book have been carried out by Milan Fournier Novak at the Maison Burle de Saint-Agrève (Ardèche, France).
